The legal successors of the victims of March 2008 post-election clashes say in the past seven years they came to realize that the investigation is imitated. Every time parents of the victims inquire about the course of the investigation they are directed to international organizations that are allegedly involved in the investigation. “They are doing everything to play for time,” say the parents. “The March 1 bloodshed will never be disclosed.  The perpetrators will be identified and punished only in case the government is changed in Armenia,” said Sargis Kloyan, the father of Gor Kloyan, one of the ten victims. Vachagan Farmanyan, the father of Armen Farmanyan, added, “the same investigators are studying the case at the Investigation Committee. Nothing has changed. We do not pin any hopes on them.” A series of mass protests were held in Armenia in the wake of the Armenian presidential election of 19 February 2008. Police and protesters clashed in the capital Yerevan on March 1 over the results of the presidential poll. At least ten people died-eight protesters and two police officers-and scores were injured in the clashes.
