Hmayak Hovhannisyan: If Tsarukyan had asked me for advice, he wouldn't have had losses (video)
Armenia’s political domain has been left in ruins, with all key actors being discredited, says Hmayak Hovhannisyan, Chairman of the Union of Political Scientists of Armenia. The opposition crushed because the authorities wanted it to happen. As the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) formed the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), so the HHK destroyed the BHK. Everything happened so rapidly as result of the opposition’s short-sighted actions. [BHK Leader] Gagik Tsarukyan became enslaved to his words. “Tsarukyan was to have voiced the stance of the party’s political council. Should he [Tsarukyan] have a single dedicated and intelligent person next to him, he would advise the BHK leader to give an asymmetric response to the government,” said Mr Hovhannisyan. The Chairman of the Union of Political Scientists says if Tsarukyan had turned to him for advice, he would have given him a recipe that would help him get out of the situation without losses.
