At the beginning of the next four-day sitting of the Armenian National Assembly (Parliament) NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan announced that Grigor Margaryan, a lawmaker from the opposition Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), had submitted an application to withdraw from the BHK. Also, BHK MP Melik Manukyan had announced his intention to lay down his deputy mandate. He did not say anything about the other four MPs who had submitted similar applications to withdraw from the party. After Galust Sahakyan’s speech, Secretary of the BHK faction Naira Zohrabyan said the faction was boycotting the NA sitting. “The BHK will soon make a statement explaining people our actions and presenting our future steps and strategy,” she said. This was followed by BHK lawmakers leaving the hall.
