Advocate motions to interrogate Serzh Sargsyan (video)
Today again Serzh Sargsyan’s name sounded in the court. During the trial of the case “Shant Harutyunyan and friends”, advocate Inessa Petrosyan motioned to invite Serzh Sargsyan and interrogate him. “The latter violated presumption of innocence, as he called them criminals before a court verdict lawfully entered into force and investigation of the case wasn’t over,”- said the advocate. But Prosecutor Gevorg Gevorgyan rejected the motion. The judges of the Court of Appeals also rejected the motion by noting that there is enough evidence to make a judicial act within the scope of appeal. Shant Harutyunyan motioned to remove the articles and added that they had just defended themselves. He said that he hadn’t defended only himself but also the people from the traitors of the state. “One of them is Serzh Sargsyan, who was an Azerbaijani KGB agent,”- announced Shant Harutyunyan. For several times the judges interrupted Shant Harutyunyan but he continued his statement and the judges went to the conference room. The verdict will be announced on February 2.
