Azerbaijan suffered at least 14 casualties
According to NKR DA operative data, during the last week, Azerbaijan violated the ceasefire regime at the line of contact between Karabakh and Azerbaijan about 1800 times. During that period, Azerbaijan fired more than 20000 shots from weapons of different caliber in the direction of Armenian positions. Besides the above mentioned violations the special units of the rival initiated more than two dozen subversive penetration attempts in different directions of the line of contact between Karabakh and Azerbaijan. The frontier subdepartments of the Defense Army suspended the penetration attempts of the rival’s special forces, causing them losses and making to retreat to their positions. It should be emphasized that since September 24, 2014, according to the decree of Azerbaijani President, the Azerbaijani side has prevented the publication of any negative information on its armed forces especially on the casualties on the border, but still due to the measures by the DA it turned out that as a result of the preventive actions by the Karabakh forces, the aggressive Azerbaijani side has suffered at least 14 casualties and over 20 wounded. In addition, an Azerbaijani command motor vehicle and a soldier-carrying motor vehicle were destroyed. The NKR Defense Army confidently implements its military task along the line of contact, takes repressive tactical operational actions if necessary, and suppresses activeness by the rival.
