Attention: low visibility in some roads
The RA Ministry of Transport and Communication informs that on the 8th of January, at 9:45, Vardenyats mountain pass and republican road from Ashotsk to Tashir are closed because of strong snowstorm. Because of storm and low visibility the roads of Aparan-Aragats, Artik-Aragats, Sevan-Dilijan, Gyumri-Ashotsk are difficult to pass. There is snowstorm in Tigranashen (Kyarki) mountain pass. There is low visibility. There is black ice in Keti mountain pass, Gavar-Martuni road, there is storm in Ashotsk, Baghramyan, Talin, Sevan regions, wind- in Gyumri and Meghri. It is snowing in Kapan, Meghri, Chambarak, Sevan, Yeghvard, Kotayk region, Hrazdan, Armavir region, Ashtarak, Aparan, Spitak, Aragats, Vanadzor, Maralik, Talin, Artik, Ashotsk, Dilijan. In order to ensure safe traffic the roads are being cleaned and cultivated with salt and sand. Interstate and republic highways are open. According to the information received from Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Stepantsminda-Lars road is closed because of heavy downfall.
