January will be snowy- says Zaruhi Petrosyan
No precipitation is expected in Armenia on New Year's Eve, says Zaruhi Petrosyan, Head of the Hayhidromet Center at the Ministry of Emergency Situation. “There weren’t weather surprises in 2014, only in March the temperature was below normal,” she said. Light snow is expected on January 2 and 3. Above normal precipitation is expected across much of the country starting January 6. It will be snowy in January but the temperature is not expected to decline sharply. In the main, January will be warmer than normal.
