Unequal conditions for different sports
At the end of every year republican federations of different sports submit reports to the RA Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs. It turns out that in 2014 Armenian Greco-Roman style wrestlers have taken part in 16 trainings of Europe and world championships in all age groups, as well as in 7 international tournaments. Free style wrestlers have also held 16 trainings and 9 international tournaments. But in 2014 Fencing Federation of Armenia has organized and held 1 training, Karate Federation- two, Synchronized Swimming Federation- three. So more then a dozen of federations aren’t able to provide trainings for the improvement of sportsmen and their participation in international tournaments in order to gain experience. It isn’t known how money from state budget is allocated to different sports. No changes are expected in 2015, so our wrestlers will continue getting ready in favorable conditions and gaining international experience, when fencers, karate sportsmen and swimmers dream of taking part even in one international tournament.
