New apartment building to be built in Yerevan for Syrian-Armenian families
Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan today attended the groundbreaking ceremony of a new block of flats in Yerevan meant for Syrian-Armenian families who settled in Armenia as a result of the ongoing civil war in Syria. The building is constructed with the funds allocated by “Help Your Brother” Charitable Foundation. Lilit Galstyan, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Charitable Foundation, briefed Mr Margaryan on the program and thanked the Yerevan mayor for his support to the Foundation. “This is a social program, with an ethical, political, and civil message,” she said. The 14-story residential building with 78 apartments will cover an area of 600 square meters, reports the Press Service of the Yerevan Municipality.
