Residents of Dimitrov village in Ararat region are panicked as drinking water in the village is endangered. About eight months ago, "Armenian Water Sewerage Company" CJSC began to change the water pipes of the village. But the work has been left unfinished and the holes uncovered to this day. “What can happen if a dead rat is left in the wells for days? Can you imagine the consequences?” says villager Volodya Mangasaryan. Karabakh war veteran Sargis Gevondyan, who has undergone heart surgery, cannot remain indifferent to the picture either. “In order to come to our house an ambulance has to pass through several streets.” We met a young man near one pit who did not want to introduce himself but said he had come to study the situation. He adding that the construction would end soon. “People are working without rest to eliminate all these problems,” he said. We found the doors of the municipality closed though December 20 had been announced a working day by the government.
