Armenian side verbally said NKR is not part of Republic of Armenia - Belta news agency
Nagorno Karabakh will not join the Eurasian Economic Union together with Armenia, first deputy foreign minister of Belarus, Alexander Mihnevich said on December 19 when introducing the treaty on Armenia’s accession to the EEU at the Belarusian National Assembly, Belta news agency reports. “We are concerned that the territories which are not part of Armenia could become part of the Customs Union. The Armenian side understood this requirement of ours. A note has been attached to the agreement which says that Nagorno-Karabakh is not part of the Republic of Armenia and the Armenian side has made a verbal statement regarding the issue,” he said. The House of Representatives of the Belarusian National Assembly today ratified the agreement of Armenia’s accession to the EEU.
