Difficult social conditions have always been a background to demand government change in Armenia, but the society didn’t take decisive actions. Politician Aghasi Yenokyan thinks that it won’t happen even now, as “people are busy with their New Year. Everyone thinks only about himself including the opposition, and the idea of collective salvation isn’t put forward.” Economy of Armenia is in this condition because of Russia. Strategic partner, which was deprived of dollar as a result of sanctions of the West, satisfied its deficit at the expense of Armenia, “This situation is created as Armenia is entering the EEU, and the opposition has never been against it, it hasn’t been voted against in the parliament, and the opposition can’t speak about the government change without mentioning the reasons.” Not only the opposition but also people aren’t ready for the government change. The polls of sociologist Aharon Adibekyan prove it. He thinks that only 10 percent of our population is ready to come out into the streets for justice.
