Drivers of several minibuses in Yerevan have started a strike now against the increase of liquefied compressed gas. Drivers of minibuses serving routes 76, 35, 99, 59, 28, call for an immediate solution to the problem. “The increased prices make our work senseless. The money that we earned every day after working 12-13 hours will now be spent on gas. We cannot continue working in this way,” they said. The protesters demand that the gas prices be reviewed and say they cannot work at the current tariff any longer. Gas prices have increased in Armenia to become 230 drams per cubic meter instead of former 180-190 AMD. Drivers now have to fill their tanks with fuel that is approximately 10 cents more expensive than before.
