Aronyan is not a fan of Basque chess
Today Basque system of chess (simultaneous play on two chess boards) has been launched at World Mind Games held in China. The only participant from Armenia, Grandmaster Levon Aronyan scored 3 points after 3 rounds and shares 7-11 places. At first our chess player defeated French Maxime Vachier-Lagrave with 1.5: 0.5 score and then ended in a draw with Azerbaijani Teimour Radjabov, and in the third round lost to Indian Grandmaster Pentala Harikrishna- 0.5- 1.5. Russian Ian Nepomniachtchi leads the charts, who scored 4 points from 6 possible. Tomorrow in the fourth round Levon Aronyan will compete with the Polish Radoslaw Wojtaszek, who has 2.5 points.
