Armenia is to pay €15 260 000 in compensation - said ECHR (video)
The European Court of Human Rights has received at least 2000 complaints against the Republic of Armenia between 2002 and 2014, Armenian representative to the ECHR Gevorg Kostanyan said on December 15. Speaking at a Yerevan-hosted international conference on human rights, Mr Kostanyan said as of November 1, 2014 the ECHR made 49 decisions concerning Armenia. It also ruled that Armenia is to pay €15 260 000 in compensation. The Republic of Armenia has already paid €574 000 in compensation, €146 000 of which was compensated from non-budgetary funds.
