Telethon 2014: $12.4 million raised this year

An annual Thanksgiving Day telethon broadcast from Los Angeles, USA, last night has raised more than $12.4 million in donations and pledges.

With proceeds from the 2014 Telethon, the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund will complete the asphalting of the 116-km Vardenis-Martakert highway that connects Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh, as well as install all remaining safety and navigation components, including traffic signs and lane marks. Last year’s Telethon raising funds for the start of the Vardenis-Martakert highway construction raised more than $22.6 million.
