The 100th anniversary of Young Turks in power has been remembered at the hall of Faculty of Political Science of Ankara University for 6 years due to an exhibition. What’s more, with clear Armenian they are considered homeland liberators, who defeated Ottoman Sultan Abdul Hamid. Truly, it can be seen in the photos that people greeted them with enthusiasm. Here we can see Enver Pasha and the emblem of Young Turks. There is a memory that Ottoman Empire governed for 600 years. There is no more information about Young Turks at this exhibition. There is another exhibition at the another hall of the faculty- on Armenian-Turkish closed border. Here are stories of people, mainly Armenians, whose bodies show the effects of the closed border. They are sad, poor and they are stranglehold with longing. Just during those days, Armenians and Turks are speaking about the closed border at the hall of Faculty of Political Science. Former mayor of Kars says that Turkish authorities don’t need Armenian-Turkish open border. He was trying, he wasn’t allowed… “I was a mayor of leading party in Kars, when I tried to speak about human values out of politics, I was released from my post,”- says former mayor of Kars Naif Alibeyoghlu. Kars present Mayor's Assistant reminds that friendship isn’t so easy, until now when they want to offense someone in Turkey, they call him Armenian. I am sure that the same is done in Armenia. One of Turkish participants of the conference was very concrete- Armenian-Turkish relations aren’t possible, “Official ideology of Armenia is based on tseghakron by Nzhdeh, which is fascist ideology. How do you imagine Armenian-Turkish dialogue?” Economist Yusal Shahbaz warns that Turkey isn’t interested in the opening of the border, as economic laws of European Union operate in his country and Armenia is a member of the Customs Union. Economist Yusal Shahbaz notes, “Russians try to keep the border closed and it is beneficial for Armenian oligarchs. Our prices are lower than customs prices. So opening of the border will only boost tourism.” Zhirayr Liparityan informs that mistakenly the opening of Armenian-Turkish border is represented as an economic benefit. But in reality it has also a strategic role for Armenia. Mr. Liparityan doesn't give further explanations.
