I do not know who pays whom, but I am paid by Armenian citizens, Republican lawmaker Vardan Ayvazyan who heads the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Economic Affairs, said at the National Assembly during the parliamentary hearings on the treaty on Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). He addressed his words to Zaruhi Postanjyan, a lawmaker of the opposition Heritage Party, after the later said ‘all those who will vote for the treaty are traitors.’ “Let me explain to you why we are not traitors. This is definitely an economic union. Armenia, with its geographical location and features, as well as with its economy, strives to be part of a single economic union. So, now we are protecting our manufacturers. Am I a traitor? Let's have respect for our military partner, where we have the biggest diaspora. I'm sorry, if something goes wrong,” said Mr Ayvazyan. Parliamentary hearings are over.
