Armenia's commitments and interests after joining EEU: Discussion in parliament (video)

The parliamentary hearings on the treaty on Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) signed by the presidents of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan on May 29, 2014 have started in the Armenian National Assembly. The hearings are initiated by the NA Standing Committees on Foreign Relations and Economic Affairs. Suren Karayan, Deputy Minister of Finance, presented the details of the treaty to Armenian lawmakers. He stressed that under the trearty Armenia will start to honour its financial commitments to the EEU budget starting January 2016 by paying dues to the EEU budget. According to the treaty, Armenia will get 1.13 percent of the customs duties from imports of goods to the EEU territory.
