Hikaru Nakamura and Levon Aronian match in Saint Louis had unsuccessful start for our Grand Master. At the beginning American chess player, who was playing with white pieces during the first round, wasn’t able to use first step advantage. Though Levon Aronian thought over the 16th move for 23 minutes, he showed a weak play and gave the opponent an opportunity to organize a strong counterattack. American Grand Master gradually intensified pressure on the royal wing and eventually won a soldier. Our player tried to find a counterattack but in vain. So the opening match ended with the victory of Hikaru Nakamura. The second match will be held today at midnight. Levon Aronyan will play with white pieces.
