The People’s Party (ZhK) has joined the national movement led by the three non-governing forces in the Armenian parliament, ZhK Leader Tigran Karapetyan told reporters on Monday. He says he was unaware that the opposition trio cooperates with extra-parliamentary forces as well and he was surprised when the trio decided to accept his offer to join them. At the same time, Mr Karapetyan admits that there are differences inside the trio. “[Heritage Party Leader] Raffi Hovannisian is against the Customs Union while the other forces are for it. Yet, it does not mean that the difference can undermine the struggle. We are fighting for justice. Unless we achieve justice, we cannot speak about anything else,” he said. While Mr Karapetyan stresses that each political force can have its peculiarities he says they cannot interfere with the ultimate goal of the three opposition forces: the aim of the national movement is to unseat the authorities. Asked whether people trust the trio, the ZhK leader said, “People did not support me, therefore I was deprived of TV Company in a cynical way. That is why I say that all of us must stand up together in order not to let them grasp everything from us.  People should stand up for their beliefs, for me, for [BHK Leader] Gagik Tsarukyan and for all those who want changes in the country.” Tigran Karapetyan once again stressed that people should unite to be able to change the authorities. He also said that he would attend all upcoming rallies.
