Melkumyan and Hovhannisyan are following the leaders
At the 18th OIBM Bad Wiessee Chess Tournament in Germany Grand Masters Hrant Melkumyan and Robert Hovhannisyan representing Armenia continue following the leaders. Yesterday in the 5th round they defeated their opponents and gained 4.5 points each. Now they are falling back two leaders of the tournament by half a point. Today in the 6th round Hrant Melkumyan will face Grand Master Ognjen Cvitan and Robert Hovhannisyan will face IM Ilya Shnayder. It must be noted that there is very tense rivalry (54 chess players have 5-4 points) and any defeat in the upcoming rounds can be fatal in the fight for prize places.
