At the Composers Union, ahead of Armenian Contemporary Music festival, which will be held from October 31 to November 3, Union Head Aram Satyan organized a meeting with journalists. The aim of the festival is to find out how much Armenian music has developed since 2000.” “Today young people benefit as the roads are open, there is no soviet ideology, they can study in any conservatory of the world, they can have performances on any stage, but they must keep in touch with the homeland and in this case the Composers Union has its role. Our approach has been changed,- says Aram Satyan.- During my chairmanship the life of the Composers Union has become more active, now the building is being repaired.” Armenian State Philharmonic, youth and chamber orchestras, state chamber choir as well as soloists from Armenia, China, Israel, Switzerland will take part in the festival.
