Students are castrated - says Aram Manukyan

Freedom-loving people have gathered in Liberty Square to warn the Armenian authorities and the entire world that they are coming to power, Aram Manukyan, a member of the Armenian National Congress (HAK), said during the opposition rally on Friday. He reminded once again that in the Republic of Armenia the power belongs to the people. Then Mr Manukyan turned to international organizations and embassies with a request. “We only ask you to be fair and present the reality in true colours.” His next appeal was addressed to artists, scientists and students. “Do not give up! Come here and let us struggle together as our culture is rabiz, science is dead and students are castrated. Straighten you backs and come here to struggle.” At the end of his speech Mr Manukyan announced, “My faith is in people, my church is Liberty Square.
