Iranian citizen killed in Yerevan
The Kentron Police Division of the Armenian Police received a call from a Yerevan hospital that the body of an unidentified man had been transferred to the hospital with a puncture wound to his nape. The victim was later identified as Esfamediar Kavian, a citizen of Iran. On the same day, the police received a report that a group of young men had attacked and beaten up an Iranian citizen near the Marriott hotel. The Investigation Department of Yerevan’s Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts has initiated a criminal case under Article 112 of the Criminal Code. Investigation is under way.
