Hovik Abrahamyan says he proposed to appoint Surik Khachatryan as Syunik Governor

I proposed to appoint him [Surik Khachatryan] Governor [of Syunik province], given his extensive work experience in the territorial administration. We have heard different opinions and reports about the appointment but I want to say that most of the Syunik residents asked to consider their opinion,” Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan said on Wednesday. This came after Abrahamyan was asked by opposition MP Nikol Pashinyan to explain Khachatryan’s reappointment to the position.
