Turned to Prime Minister with the demand of referendum
“The Union of Informed Citizens” NGO sent letters to the RA Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan with the demand of referendum on the issue of Armenian membership in the EEC. The application is based on the RA Constitution 2nd Article, as well as the RA law on “The referendum” Part 1 of Article 4 and 1st and 3rd Parts of Article 8.1. According to them, the Government can hold a referendum for the opinion of society on the most important state issues. Besides 15 applications were sent to the National Assembly party leaders and other Deputies with the request to join the referendum initiative.
