Representatives of small and medium-sized businesses have again gathered outside the Armenian National Assembly, protesting against the recently-amended law on Turnover Tax. Relatives of the Yerevan gold market have joined some 500 protesters outside the National Assembly. They say employees of the gold market did not attend the action taking into account the consequences of the previous protest after which the owner of the gold market broke their counters. Aram Manukyan, Secretary of the Armenian National Congress (HAK), and Mikael Melkumyan, a lawmaker of the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), are now talking to the group. In the name of their parties, they promised to convene a special session at the National Assembly to discuss the matter and, if possible, to change the Law on Turnover Tax. The BHK had voted for the law. The protesters are now heading to the NA main entrance on Baghramyan street.
