Hands of 'Islamic state' reached Armenian sanctuary
Armenia’s Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian has condemned the recent act of barbarism against the Armenian Genocide Memorial Church of Deir ez-Zor in Syria. In a statement issued on Monday, Mr. Nalbandian said, “We strongly condemn the blast of the Armenian Genocide Memorial Church in Deir ez-Zor that holds the remains of numerous martyrs of the Mets Yeghern. This appalling barbarism towards a sanctuary again demonstrates the savage nature of the so-called “Islamic state” terrorist group. “The international community should immediately stop, eradicate this plague that threatens the civilized world, uproot the channels of its feeding, financing, support and sponsorship.”
