The investigator forced to give testimonies
A criminal case was instituted based on the materials prepared in the Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Armenia in accordance with Part 1 of Article 308 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. Sargis M., a defendant of the criminal case reviewed in Armavir Regional Investigation Department of the General Investigation Department of the Police of the Republic of Armenia reported that the investigator conducting a preliminary investigation of the above case, having abused his official position, forced him to give testimonies inconsistent with the reality with regard to the fact that another defendant Hovhannes A. had given him drugs. He was also forced to confirm his testimony during the face-face interrogation. A preliminary investigation is under way. SIS
