Quartet has turned into trio: Dashnaktsutyun will not participate in forthcoming rally (video)
The four non-governing forces in Armenia today held another meeting to decide the date of a joint rally. The opposition Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun will not participate in the rally. Speaking about the reasons, Naira Zohrabyan, a senior representative of the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), cited the differences over the government-proposed constitutional reports which are endorsed by the Dashnaktsutyun. Nor will Dashnaks participate in regional meetings to be held before the rally. Last week, Dashnaktsutyun lawmaker Artsvik Minasyan said his party will not support the Armenian government’s proposed constitutional reforms if its amendments are not accepted. The rally is to be held on October 10 (6.00 p.m.) at Liberty Square in Armenia.
