“If the Constitution isn’t changed, Serzh Sargsyan can’t be President in 2018”
HAK party leader Levon Zurabyan noted at Heritage forum that if the Constitution isn’t changed, Serzh Sargsyan can’t be President in 2018, “Are the changes reasoned and appropriate? Are we suggested real constitutional reforms or just a new constitution? There is great difference. Does the RA need such serious changes? We think- no. What is Serzh Sargsyan busy with? He wants to create new constitution under the disguise of reforms. Constitution is changed with every official. Is it a change or change of constitution? No democratic nation has done such a thing.” Levon Zurabyan noted that no political power in the country wants reforms, “Reforms are forced in the RA. Only five NA deputies of Dashnaktsutyun want the reforms. We won’t let Serzh Sargsyan govern forever.” Ruben Hakobyan criticized the policy of the authorities in his speech. It irritated HHK deputies present at the forum. Koryun Nahapetyan noted that if there are estimations and criticism, they also must be given opportunity to respond. Dashnaktsutyun deputy Artsvik Minasyan explained why they want constitutional changes and called to rely on the 124 years old political power- Dashnaktsutyun, and also support reforms.
