Frontier village has debts

Tavush region frontier Navur village will soon have its hospital. Village residents have to go to neighboring Berd city hospital even in case of little health problems, but now they can receive medical care in their own village, “For little cure we must go to Berd, give 1000 AMD to taxi, buy 200 AMD pills, but now we will save time and money,”- note the villagers. The construction of the hospital has started in spring of the last year and is intended to finish in autumn. Community deputy head Mher Nigoyan says that only inner work is left. Hospital is constructed with the state financing, and only 5 percents, which is 2 5 millions AMD, must be invested by the community, which doesn’t have it. M. Nigoyan notes that they are looking for philanthropists, who will finance and invest money. Besides, the community has other expenses, within the frames of “Pasture management and livestock development” project, Agriculture Ministry provides agricultural machinery to the community, 5 millions AMD of which must be provided by the community.
