NA Vice President received Belarusian delegation
NA Vice President Eduard Sharmazanov, inter-parliamentary committee co-president of cooperation between RA National Assembly and Belarus Republic National Assembly, received Belarus National Assembly House of Representatives vice President, inter-parliamentary committee co-president Viktor Guminski. Greeting the guest in the NA, RA NA Vice President highly assessed Armenian-Belarusian relations based on traditional friendship and understanding and noted that parliamentary format is a good platform for the development of mutual strategic relations. Mr. Sharmazanov stressed the role of inter-parliamentary committee, which has done much work. Turning to the issues of territorial security, NA Vice President stressed the importance of NKR issue peaceful regulation within the frames of OSCE Minsk group and noted that war is not a way of conflicts’ regulation. Mr. Guminski noted that Belarus is for peaceful regulation of NKR conflict. Eduard Sharmazanov invited Belarusian MPs to take part in the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Armenian Genocide on April, 2015. Viktor Guminski also stressed the role of inter-parliamentary committee and noted that it has worked effectively for 10 years. Turning to Armenian Genocide, he stressed that parliament members must do everything so that such tragedies aren’t repeated. The importance of cooperation between international parliamentary organizations was stressed by both sides. Sides turned also to other issues of mutual interest.
