Birth rate increases in Armenia
Over 27338 births were registered in Armenia from January to August 2014: 14657 of them were born in Yerevan. The birth rate exceeds last year’s statistics by 920. A total of 4,179 children were born in the country in August. In addition, Shirak, Lori, Tavush and Kotayk provinces have a higher birth rate than other regions in the country.
