Yerevan Press Club head Boris Navasardyan can’t say if Armenia will become a member of Eurasian Economic Union on October 10 or not. He reminds how much was changed after September 13, 2013, “If a year ago Serzh Sargsyan said that the membership in the Customs Union isn’t a problem for Armenia and what’s more we can become a founding member, it isn’t the same way today. Today the CC lost its modernity and doesn’t exist as a separate unit, it has been dissolved in the Eurasian Economic Union.” Mr. Navasardyan notes that EEU founding countries, Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan have many disagreements, which will have their influence on the membership of Armenia, “Both Belarus and Kazakhstan aren’t interested in the membership of Armenia. Kazakhstan is playing a double game and at the same time it tries to cooperate with several models of integration including China.” What relates to NKR status in case of Armenian membership, Boris Navasardyan said, “Karabakh issue isn’t on the agenda, and what will be with Armenia-NKR border after Armenia’s membership, will there be checkpoints or not, it isn’t known. It isn’t discussed until the meeting in order not to confuse the situation.”
