Criminal case institution was rejected at Masis department
On July 15, 2014 at the crossroad of Zorak-Nizam villages, Ararat region Tigran S. and Karen M. argued with each other around giving car signals. During the argument Karen M. hit over Tigran M. and his father’s different parts of body. Tigran M. in his turn struck Karen M. and his passenger Edgar M. The participants of the argument caused each other bodily injuries. On July 25, 2014 a criminal case was instituted with regard to the case in Masis Department of the Investigation Department of Ararat region of the Police of the Republic of Armenia in accordance with Paragraphs 2, 3 and 4 of Part 1 of Article 35 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia. On August 7 the decision about the rejection of the institution of the criminal case in the Prosecutor’s Office of Ararat region was abolished and a criminal case was instituted in accordance with Paragraph 2 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. The Preliminary investigation showed that during the argument Sargis M. in his turn used swear words and struck Karen M. It was revealed that Sargis M. is a police officer of the Republic of Armenia. A criminal proceeding was instituted in the Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Armenia A preliminary investigation is under way. SIS
