Azerbaijani captive sends letter to his relatives
Members of the Armenian office of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) met Saturday with Azerbaijani citizen Javid Mammadov who had been taken prisoner by Nagorno-Karabakh frontline troops after crossing the line of contact under yet unclear circumstances. Talking to A1+, ICRC Communication Officer Hasmik Galstyan said the Azerbaijani captive sent a letter to his relatives through ICRC delegates. She did not reveal more details. Javid Mammadov was caught on Friday evening while attempting to cross into northeastern Karabakh from Azerbaijan’s Terter district. Mammadov was then handed over to relevant authorities in Sepanakert.
