Bank employee took fake gold jewelry from the official
Hayrapet V., a Head of the Bank Security Department of “BTA” Bank filed a report with Kanaker-Zeytun Department of Yerevan city of the Police of the Republic of Armenia about the fact that Karen Ye., who is a goldsmith-appraiser of “Zeytun” branch of the same bank involved in two dozens of credit operations took jewelries from the citizens as a pledge by causing a substantial amount of material damage to the bank. A criminal case was instituted with regard to the case in Kanaker-Zeytun Investigation Department of the General Investigation Department of the Police of the Republic of Armenia in accordance with Paragraph 1 of Part 3 of Article 178 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. The preliminary investigation revealed that in the same period the cousin (from mother’s side) of Karen Ye., also pledged jewelries in “Zeytun” branch of “BTA” bank CJSC, who is the Deputy Commander of State Guarding Service of Ararat regional Administration of Masis department of the Police of the Republic of Armenia. A criminal case was instituted in the Special Investigation Service. A preliminary investigation is under way. SIS
