A group of citizens are holding a protest in Yerevan’s Republic Square against Armenia’s accession to the Customs Union. They are now heading to the the Presidential Palace located at 26 Baghramyan Avenue. Levon Barseghyan, a participant of the action, told A1+ that on September 3, 2013, Serzh Sargsyan expressed Armenia’s ‘willingness’ to join the CC, speaking on behalf of the Armenian people. “The Customs Union poses a threat to Armenia’s sovereignty and independence, therefore we demand that Serzh Sargsyan step down.” The protest runs under the slogan “No Putin!”
