• Putin orders to sign treaty of Armenia’s accession to EEU

    Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered to sign the Treaty of Accession of the Republic of Armenia to the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union.

    Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the signing of the Treaty of Accession of Armenia to the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).

    The presidential order is available on the official legal information website.

    “It is necessary to accept the Russian government’s proposal to sign the Treaty of Accession of the Republic of Armenia to the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union.

    “It is necessary to sign the Treaty, as provided by the order, at the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council at the level of the presidents,” the document says.

    The Treaty on Creating the Eurasian Economic Union was signed by the presidents of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan on May 29, 2014.
