Some residents of Berkaber village in Armenia’s Tavush region have left their homes, head of the village, Artur Madatyan told A1+. Among them are elderly people, children and pregnant women.
Artur Madatyan says for two days the Azerbaijani side has kept the village under fire. “Villagers fear that the situation might deteriorate. People fear that their homes could be shelled. They spend nights under constant firing,” he added.
The village headman added that the shooting has caused enormous damage to the village, destroying roofs of houses, breaking windows and burning grass.
