Hamalir employees stage protest outside Government building (video)
Employees of the Karen Demirtchyan Sport and Concert Complex – Hamalir, are grouped outside the government building demanding their salaries of the past three months. They also call the attention of Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan and other high-ranking officials to the fate of the Complex. The protesters state that they have been driven out of the Hamalir premises by the Judicial Acts Compulsory Enforcement Service (JACES) without any explanation. They demand that the officials restore their rights and return their property which was illegally confiscated by JACES employees. The group was received by Alexander Ghazaryan, Head of the Government Public Reception Department, who said he could not give a verbal response to the protesters. He asked the group to present their concerns in a letter and promised to respond in due order.
