Serzh Sargsyan today issued separate condolence messages to King Willem-Alexander and Prime Minister Mark Rutte of the Netherlands, and Sultan Tuanku Abdul Halim of Malaysia, in connection with the crashed Malaysia Airlines plane in the territory of Ukraine. Serzh Sargsyan extended his deepest condolences and support to the Dutch King, Prime Minister, and the Malaysian Sultan, relatives of the victims, as well as the Dutch and Malaysian peoples, and wished them patience, fortitude, and courage in this difficult time. The Malaysia Airlines passenger jet crashed in a rebel-controlled part of eastern Ukraine on Thursday. The Boeing 777 with 298 people aboard fell from the sky near the town of Torez in the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine, officials said. A top Ukrainian official said the plane, which was on the way from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, was flying at about 10,000 meters (nearly 33,000 feet).
