Malaysia Airlines plane crash 'an act of terrorism', says Ukraine President

Ukraine President Petro Poroshenko has called crash of the plane of the Malaysian airlines on the Donetsk region "an act of terrorism." Poroshenko said the Boeing 777 was not shot down by his countrymen. A Malaysia Airlines jet carrying 295 people crashed in east Ukraine on a flight from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur on Thursday. Both sides in Ukraine's civil conflict accused each other of shooting down the plane with a missile. It is still not clear why the plane came down. It is the second disaster suffered by Malaysia Airlines this year. After the crash, a number of airlines confirmed shifted flights operating over Ukrainian air space.
