Mothers of fallen soldiers to undergo medical examination
Armenia’s Health Minister Armen Muradyan received on Wednesday mothers of fallen soldiers Hasmik Melikyan and Sona Pashinyan to discuss health-related issues with them. The minister inquired about their health problems, difficulties and suggestions connected with health services. The mothers expressed satisfaction with the attention and care of medical staff. However, they said sometimes they receive disrespectful and unfriendly attitude. “It is very difficult to look into the eyes of a mother who has lost a military son. We are all indebted to you. The Ministry will develop a specific program that will allow parents of fallen soldiers to annually undergo examination and treatment at polyclinics. If need be, a larger volume of medical services will be provided to you,” said Armen Muradyan. The minister also heard the mothers’ complaints of maltreatment asking for concrete examples of disrespectful behaviour. He promised to respond to each complaint in a strict and harsh manner.
