JOINT EXHIBITION IN GEORGIA

Culture

The first international visual exhibition “Art Expo-Art Caucasus” was held in Georgia on November 1-3. Painters from Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan partook in it. 30 artists of Armenia took part in the exposition. Canvases of painters kept in 6 museums were represented to the exhibition.

”For the first time the artists of South Caucasus states assembled for a joint exposition and our painters showed once again their uniqueness”, Gurgen Barikyan, Executive Director of “Elegy” cultural and social organization said at presentation on “Art Expo-Art Caucasus” hand-book.

”Painters of Armenia can’t live good life in Armenia since the home buyers don’t possess enough means to purchase the paintings though they are much interested in the pictures”, Gevorg Poghosyan, Chair of Consumers’ Union of Armenia, says.

Gurgen Barikyan is sure the exhibition will repeat and Internet site will be set up later.
