Armenia’s membership to the Eurasian Economic Union is delayed as Russia is busy with other matters, Armenian lawmaker Alexander Arzumanyan said on July 10.
Talking to reporters on Thursday, Mr Arzumanyan said Armenia does not interest EEU member states, and Russia uses this to strengthen its political ambitions.
Speaking about the ongoing tensions on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, the lawmaker of the Heritage Party said ‘certain forces are pushing Armenia into war.’ “We should not allow these forces succeed in their endeavours.”
Alexander Arzumanyan says the probability of war is greater than ever. “Once Azerbaijan is convinced it can win the war by force, it will declare war. Therefore we must always be prepared for war,” he said.
The lawmaker supports the opening of the Armenian-Turkish border. at the same time, he says Turkey is taking small steps to obstruct the recognition of the Armenian Genocide.
