Armenia’s Lilit Mkrtchyan suffers her first loss

Armenia’s chess player Lilit Mkrtchyan has suffered her first loss at the European Individual Women’s Chess Championship in Plovdiv.

In Round 4 held on July 9, the Armenian GM tied her game with Antoaneta Stefanova (Bulgaria). However, she remains among the top players of the tournament with 3,5 points.

In the same round, Armenia’s Elina Danielyan lost to Cristina Adela Foisor, a Romanian chess player and an international master.
