Grandmother Manik- in a cellar like and damp building (video)
Dozens of lonely elderly people live in Gyumri contemporary houses and dilapidated buildings. Most of them worked at city’s former powerful companies for many years, but today they are in difficult and helpless situation. They mainly live on pension, which isn’t enough even for communal expenses. The video by “Shirak Center” is about the difficult living conditions of grandmother Manik, who worked at Lentekstil company for 30 years, but now lives in a cellar like damp building.
